"You have taught me to believe in myself and to take things slowly, one step at a time, keep sight of my goals, both short term and long term.

Your coaching style was both nuturing and motivating, you seemed to intuitively know some days what I needed most. Your caring and understanding was so appreciated and it came from the heart."

-Holly C.

I would recommend the Simplicity Course as an easy, practical way to start simplifying one's life. I especially liked the segments on Tolerations, Wardrobe, and Office and Paperwork.

Each day focuses on only one task, which is helpful to people who feel overwhelmed by the complexities of modern life and hardly know where to begin downshifting.

Beth has an uncanny way of, "reading between the lines" to see a person's heart. I appreciate how genuine she is.

I have already begun implementing her suggestions, and am dumbstruck at how well they are working. I am feeling so much more secure, and feel I am finally put onto a life path that will bring me joy for many years to come."

-Sue Halpern

I feel more focused and have an objective instead of aimlessly filling up the day.

Tiny Change #14:Write birthdays on a calendar, so you can let others know you care for them

How do you keep track of the birthdays you want to remember? Do you often forget important dates? To help you remember, you can write them all on a wall calendar. You can also input them into Outlook or another appointment calendar. There are online sites and reminder sites to help you remember. Most stationary stores carry birthday calendars for the dates and addressees with slots to hold cards. Or you can make up your own birthday list in Excel or Word.

You can check your calendar at the end of each month. Then you can make or buy cards and presents for the upcoming month. Some people buy a year's worth of cards at a time. I know of someone that puts cards to be filled out and mailed with bills to be paid.

Forgetting important dates in the lives of those we love can be hurtful. It doesn't take much time to get this part of your life organized. And the reward is brightening up the days of our friends and family. If you don't think you have the time to set up a whole system, work on just one month a day. Tomorrow find all the birthdays for September and use a system that you find interesting and fun.
