52 Tiny Changes Archive
Change is so huge, so big, so time-consuming. It is much
easier to keep the status quo.
Does it have to be that way? How about if we change just
a little at a time? We are not remaking your whole life
at once. If you do one tiny change a week, by the end of
the year you will have a better, more vibrant life. Another
positive is with small changes, you have a much better chance
at keeping your new habits.

the way.
Tiny Change #16: Remember to laugh:
rent a comedy, get silly with friends, or read a funny book
Remember when you were a kid? You used to
laugh at anything. You found the smallest things hilarious.
You'd roll around on the ground and laugh 'till you cried.
Then you grew up. You got re-spon-sib-il-ities. Life turned
very serious.
And we wonder why we are stressed! Always
doing, doing, doing to try to meet expectations. We are
in such a hurry to get whereever it is we think we will
end up, that we don't stop to laugh and joke. My Grandpa
is a great one for humor. As a traveling salesman for alloy
metals, he often stopped by places of work and shared a
joke. When someone told him one, he remembered it to share
with other people down the line. As a grandpa he always
says word play jokes, or really bad jokes. My kids love
to hear "Silly Grandpa."
So what do you do that always makes you
laugh? Which friends leave you with giggling fits? If you
have kids, do you watch them having fun? Or better yet,
join them? What comedians do you love? Who are your favorite
humorous writers? This week, learn what makes you laugh
and put some laughter into your life.
