52 Tiny Changes Archive
Change is so huge, so big, so time-consuming. It is much
easier to keep the status quo.
Does it have to be that way? How about if we change just
a little at a time? We are not remaking your whole life
at once. If you do one tiny change a week, by the end of
the year you will have a better, more vibrant life. Another
positive is with small changes, you have a much better chance
at keeping your new habits.

the way.
Tiny Change #1 : Go to bed ½ hour earlier and wake
up ½ earlier than usual
By the end of the day, most of us are about tuckered out.
We watch some TV, then go to sleep. In the morning we rush
around trying to get everything done before work or school.
How would your day change if you woke up earlier? Maybe
you would have time for some prayer or exercise. Maybe you
would be able to take a leisurely shower. Maybe you could
actually eat breakfast with the family.
How? Your day is so packed, you are running till you crash
on the couch. At bedtime you are still so tense from the
day you need to unwind. Here are a few suggestions: have
the whole family do chores right after dinner to get them
out of the way, prepare for tommorow earlier, don't watch
TV shows close to bedtime that get your heart pumping, play
relaxing music instead. If you get your need to dos done
earlier, then you can get into bed about 1/2 hour before
you want to sleep to cuddle, read, journal, listen to music
or any activity you find soothing. Ideally you should be
getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night or your energy level
and productivity probably won't be going up.
What will
you do with that extra 1/2 hour?
Don't think
you can do this on your own? E-coaching
can help you with that.
